Required skills include:-  

•	3 axis CNC machining experience in a range of materials which must include considerable experience machining Stainless steel and exotic metals and also engineering plastics  
•	Programming for 3 axis machining using Delcam Powermill  
•	Experienced in traditional machine shop practices (milling, turning etc.) and able to produce precision work using manual machining equipment.  
•	Fully conversant with drawing standards and able to read engineering drawings  
  
Additional capabilities of benefit might include:-  
•	Experience working under a formal quality system (ISO 9001 or ISO 13485)  
•	CNC turning and programming in Alphacam  
•	Other modelmaking skills including, vacuum forming, pattern making, vacuum casting, finishing and spraying.  
  
PAYE Salary negotiable and based on experience and skill level and includes benefits. The successful candidate will be required to work a 3 month probationary period.

  The role      
We need an exceptional Senior Industrial Designer to join our creative and energetic, multinational ID team. The role will involve working closely with the Head of Design as part our international team of designers and engineers. You will be responsible for turning insights into ideas, contributing exciting concepts and creating innovative solutions whilst considering feasibility, manufacturability and cost.    

  What we need from you      
You must be highly motivated and passionate about the creation of exceptional products and comfortable with the full design process from concept to manufacture.    
You must relish the challenge of working in a collaborative environment and possess an appetite for combining problem solving, intellectual rigour and a deep empathy for user needs with outstanding skills with form and aesthetics.    
You must be confident in being able to research trends and user needs to gain insight and Help explore appropriate new technologies and materials to establish key product requirements to inform the development process deliver the product vision.    
You must understand the relationship between products and brand and be able to translate brand values into product attributes and features creating visual brand languages that embody the emotional qualities of a brand in the product.    
You can see projects from concept to manufacture and must be able to manage the design process from end to end and champion the design intent throughout.     You will work with others in this process and deliver outstanding product designs on time and on budget.    
You will help create compelling and clear presentations for clients at all stages of the product development process.     
Fluency with a sketchbook and 2D and 3D software and ability to articulate your ideas to the team and to clients are all essential.    
Experience in non-product design such as packaging and promotional material would be an asset.    
You will be a bright, enthusiastic team player. Good communication skills are essential as a major part of your role will be interacting with clients and collaborative project teams made up of engineers and designers.    

  Key Requirements and Skills:      
•	6+ years’ experience in product design consultancy or in-house design teams.    
•	A degree in Industrial or Product Design.    
•	An ability to manage your time effectively with a flexibility to work within required budget and time constraints.    
•	Experience with client relationships.    
•	Ability to confidently and clearly discuss design process and project activities with clients from both a project and business development perspective.    
•	A demonstrable track record of project managing the delivery of design projects.    
•	Brand identity and graphic communication beneficial.    
•	Technical knowledge and the ability to consider the engineering design.    
•	Creative, self-motivated team member with strong communications skills.    
•	Ability to manage time and meet deadlines whist maintaining world-class quality and having fastidious attention to detail.    
•	A keen interest in current trends in design, lifestyle, technology, manufacturing processes and materials.    
•	Good presentation and communication skills and an ability to present complex solutions clearly.    
•	Strong skills in Adobe Creative Suite applications.
